I’m ready to pull the trigger to the paid version because it works and looks great. However I’m concerned about the lack of responses in this forum and worried that the Linux version isn’t updated since the Windows version is newer.

Linux version updates: The Linux version is released simultaneously with the Windows version. Both platforms receive the same updates at the same time.
Forum response time: You’re right that our forum response time hasn’t been ideal. As a small software company, we do our best to monitor and respond to user inquiries, but there can be delays during holidays or busy periods. We appreciate your patience and are committed to supporting our users.
Recent updates: We’re actively maintaining RcloneView across all platforms. In fact, we currently have fixes ready for some Linux-related issues reported by other users, and we’ll be releasing them after testing.

You’re correct – Windows and Mac versions have a built-in update notification feature that alerts users when a new version is available. However, the Linux version currently doesn’t have this functionality.
This is because we provide Linux in three different package formats (AppImage, deb, and rpm), and we haven’t implemented a unified update notification system across these formats. As a result, Linux users need to manually check for new versions.
Despite the lack of automatic notifications, the Linux version itself is uploaded simultaneously with Windows and Mac. The versions are the same – it’s just the notification mechanism that’s missing.
We appreciate your feedback on this. We’ll work on implementing an update notification feature for Linux that works across all package formats, so users can be informed of new versions just like on other platforms.
