I purchased a license for RCloneView, but when I try to install the license, I receive an error that says, “The license service is currently unavailable. Please check your network and try again later.” I’ve been trying for a few days now. The OS is Windows Server 2022 if that makes a difference. Any suggestions?
I’ve got the same problem since 7 Days! Are there any solutions for this problem?
Hi Tech7 and MRensing,
Sorry to hear you’ve both been running into this — and apologies for the delayed response!
I’ve just verified that the license registration service is running normally on our end. A few things to check:
Quick connectivity test First, try opening https://license.rcloneview.com in your browser — if it redirects to rcloneview.com, the license server is reachable from your machine. If it times out or fails, that confirms a network/firewall issue on your end.
Network/Firewall The license activation requires outbound HTTPS access to our license server. Please make sure the following isn’t being blocked by a firewall or security policy:
https://license.rcloneview.com(port 443)
This is especially relevant on Windows Server 2022, which often has stricter outbound firewall rules than a regular Windows desktop.
Other things to try
- Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus, then retry activation
- If you’re behind a corporate proxy, check whether it’s interfering with HTTPS connections
- Try running RcloneView as Administrator
I have the same problem despite the suggested solutions. My firewall is also completely disabled, but it still doesn’t work.
Paid for license, did all that, passes all connectivity tests no problem, running as administrator. Will not register on windows 2022 server. Need resolution ASAP.
Got it registered, just needed o manually create rcloneview and rcloneview\license folders in appdata.
