Greetings! I’m just trying out RcloneView for the first time. I’m on the latest version of Mac (Tahoe 26.6.2), using the latest version of RcloneView from Homebrew (v1.5.35), and I do have “Stop rclone on App Exit” checked in Settings > Embedded Rclone. Any ideas on how to get that to close on exit? Thank you very much!

You found a real bug. In 1.5.35, quitting with ⌘Q, the RcloneView menu’s Quit, or Dock → Quit skipped the step that reads Stop rclone on App Exit, so rclone_arm64 kept running even with the box checked. Only Exit from the menu bar icon honored the setting.
This is fixed from 1.5.46, and the current version is 1.6.8. Since you installed with Homebrew: the cask is marked as auto-updating, so a plain brew upgrade may skip it. This will pick it up:
brew upgrade --cask --greedy rcloneview
On 1.6.8, with Stop rclone on App Exit checked, rclone stops when you quit with ⌘Q, Quit, Dock → Quit, or the menu bar icon → Exit.
One thing that still keeps rclone running, by design: the red close button doesn’t quit RcloneView. It hides the window to the menu bar icon, and the app (and rclone) keeps running in the background. If you’d rather have the close button quit the app, turn on Settings → General → Quit on close. With both settings on, closing the window stops rclone too.
Thanks for including your macOS version, the RcloneView version, and the fact that the setting was checked. That made it quick to pin down.
