Run on Windows without being an administrator

Hi!
While the Linux app works without root access, the Windows app requires being administrator to be installed, which limits its usage in various companies where the users are not administrators.

Would it be possible to install RcloneView as a user by allowing the user to install it in a different path? Or have an official portable version?

Hi!

Thank you for your suggestion. We’ll check if it’s possible to install RcloneView without requiring administrator permissions. However, we believe the permission is necessary to install Visual Studio redistributables.

We’ll review this and see if there’s a way to remove the admin requirement. Additionally, we’ll consider the possibility of a portable version.
